AND FOR EVERYTHING

(A Song of God's Faithfulness)

[A Duet]

She begins:

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen..

el-iyanu:

For the days of good, for the days of bad,

For the days of beans, for the days of rice,

For the days we fall, for the days we rise,

For the days of faith, for the days of doubts,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

Bella:

For the days I cried 'cause I was losing myself

For the days when I no even get Raba sef

For the days my Faith wavered

And for the day I finally made peace with my Maker

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

el-iyanu:

For the days of trees, for the days of plants,

For the days of then, for the days of now,

For the days we could, for the days we snoozed,

For the days of heat, for the days of ice,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

Bella:

For the days of Sorrow, for the days of Happiness

For the days I was praised and the days I was blamed

For the days I had more and the days I had less

For the days I walked around healthy and cheerful

'Cause of your blessings and grace in my life,

And for the days I felt 'Lame,'

And For everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

el-iyanu:

For the days of dark, for the days of light,

We'll give thanks in good and bad times—

What is faith if it can't survive the hard times?

What is faith if it can't survive the dark times?

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

Bella:

For the days of Abundant Blessings

For the days of Abundant Grace and Mercies

For the days we all felt like giving up

For the days I had no shoulder to lean on

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

el-iyanu:

For the times I'm out, for the times I'm in,

For the things I said, for the things I think,

For the things I did, for the things I mean,

For the grace of God, the forgiveness of sins,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

Together:

It's been quite the journey, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen

Still a long way to go, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen

Plenty ups and plenty downs, indeed, quite the story!

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

Together:

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,

And for everything, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen!

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO NOT KNOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE

Hello, and welcome to Haven Incorporated. This is the very first post minted in our press, and hopefully the continuation of something great. We hope you find value in this space and find it a place to stay. It's indeed a terrible thing to not know how great one is. Usually, we hear warnings to desist from pride and cease from arrogance, that pride goes before an unpleasant fall and humility comes before honour. But having a healthy sense of self and worth is not as emphasised. And I dare say, it's better to be proud than falsely humble! Just tonight, I saw a man who didn't know how great he was, and it pierced my heart to see him so. Maybe he knew, but only humbled himself for the moment, but I didn't think it necessary for him to have done so. But it's terrible to not know how great you are! It occurred to me that culture and tradition, perhaps, makes us stagnant and backwards in the face of progress. It is true that we learn great virtue and core valu...

THE STORY A PROFESSOR TOLD ME

A story my professor told me, A new way of life, it showed me; Those who are wise will hold this, For every man needs to know this. And so he said to me: A man came to him in need, Sir, I need your help to feed: My dear sir, please... But this wasn't the first, And surely won't be last, Professor thought to himself: We can't keep doing this. And, so, Professor said to him: I, as well, I am in need, You see, my car, I need to clean, And you, you need to feed, Can we consider it a deal? And the man thought it wise a thing. Indeed, it was wise a thing; To be paid as much as kings— Where do you find such a thing? Wise, if you know what that means! As the man washed Professor's car, Some also needed to clean theirs, So the man washed their cars, And also cleaned his scars, For a beggar's soul is scarred. Now, he doesn't need to beg; The wise will learn a lesson, In a story filled with lessons. A word is enough for the wise, Or for those who want to be wise.. ...
