HOW CAN I TELL YOU?

You're living too hard, how can I tell you?
You've been ever tempted since you were born,
And no great examples from those who came before—
How can I tell you?
You're living too hard.

You have the latest and all to impress,
But in chastity and morals, you have regressed;
You have the hottest things in stock,
You give the sons of men things to talk.

Why do you have to rush growing up, child:
And walk a path you know is wild?
I've seen maidens lose their shine in youth,
You have to listen, I speak the truth!
How can I tell you?
You're living too hard.

Take a walk with me, enjoy the scenery,
Enter the depths of my heart, you'll really
See what it means to live,
And how awesome I think you can be:
For the present blinds us to these things!

But we'll hope like Mary Magdalene,
We'll all come to live our lives free and clean,
And live as we ought to be.
I'm not yet perfect, but how can I
Tell you you're living too hard.

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO NOT KNOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE

Hello, and welcome to Haven Incorporated. This is the very first post minted in our press, and hopefully the continuation of something great. We hope you find value in this space and find it a place to stay. It's indeed a terrible thing to not know how great one is. Usually, we hear warnings to desist from pride and cease from arrogance, that pride goes before an unpleasant fall and humility comes before honour. But having a healthy sense of self and worth is not as emphasised. And I dare say, it's better to be proud than falsely humble! Just tonight, I saw a man who didn't know how great he was, and it pierced my heart to see him so. Maybe he knew, but only humbled himself for the moment, but I didn't think it necessary for him to have done so. But it's terrible to not know how great you are! It occurred to me that culture and tradition, perhaps, makes us stagnant and backwards in the face of progress. It is true that we learn great virtue and core valu...

THE LITTLE FAN

Blood on my hands, but it's only mine, Scratching the tissue while the blood flows out: The scars disappear before morning comes, No, for my sake, you won't catch me mourning storms! Job done, tissue discarded, What was the issue we all regarded? Won't catch me acting all retarded; Break up the group, you're all disbanded. I hope you aren't acting clever? Before you wound yourself forever. All that I am, I gave my blood, I went through a really difficult curve, So don't play me for the fool I'm not, Before you wound yourself for nought. Pain is my only companion, Sleep is a distant friend; Don't know what to do, Just want it to end. Moving out like tidal wave, Just want it to end. Asking myself the question, Who did I offend? For this pain, I can't compare. Sometimes I ask myself, why I'm the way I am, Then someone does something, And I remember why I chose to be this way 'Times I'm quickly angry I don't like being offended Especially...
