KING OF BOYS

There were high hopes for the City Boy
Some protested against his kingdom come
Some wanted to to see how it played out
Well it has, and we all want him out.

There's been fire on the mountain for quite awhile
We're not saying it just began now
I reserve the worst of my ire
For those who stir the chaos with silent hands

Silent hands who gift loud guns
To massacre humans along religious divide
Our eyes are covered in blood (they bleed!)
Our skin too numb to utter a word

Buhari was the Silent One
City Boy the Avoidant One
The Flying Savant
All of whose promises came to nought

I wish I was a dragon and could spit out fire
To burn up rocks at the sound of my voice
And at the feel of my breath
To put an end to every threat

Of course, there are problems with every man
Every rule, every country, every administration
But we've seen men make who make it work
In few short years achieved a lot

There is a difference in leading revolutions
And in being a leader
At the heart of leadership and governance
Is the welfarism of the people

Well, I do not believe in leadership
I believe in governance
In stewardship and in service
And the significant right of every man

This is not a hate speech, but a call to order
Is this really the best we can do?
We have a Messiah, but we need the governor
Where is Gotham? Who is Batman?
(This isn't Gotham, but where is Batman?)

Iyanu, November 19, 2025.

I just watched the video of the livestream of the terrorist in a church in Kwara State, Nigeria, and I couldn't believe my eyes on what I saw. I was at a loss for words. Then I saw the statistics of the things that had happend this year alone and the humiliation of a Army general recently. It is crazy to say the least, and disheartening.

ICE BREAKER

I'm thinking of our talks with a smile, Although sometimes I'm scared that I cross the line, But you always reassure me that it's fine, Like a fish, I'm always testing the line, Pushing boundaries because you allow, Humorous are you, and mighty kind Talking with you through tough times, I'm sure this relation is God's hand. You've been of help to me, I said I know you'll want to protest— But I'm smiling at a word you said, Far long after it had been said. I cherish the lovely moments we talk; Always waiting to hear from you, Sometimes I'm scared I bother you, But I can't seem to help myself. I wanted to write something happy, But happiness is serious business, And from everyone else You are a little different. But keep the love, keep the purity, When we vibe, there's no insecurity Like one mind, at ease in unity, You're greatly blessed, until infinity! This was supposed to be light, but it's so serious! Shine brightly, dearest Sir...
