BABY, LOVE YOURSELF

You'll find time to lose yourself in love
Put the happiness of others above your own
Find joy in the things that make them happy
Sometimes to the loss of your own—
Baby, love yourself.

You've seen how wicked the world can be
How cold it gets out there
How quickly people can turn on you
For reasons you can't even think—
Baby, love yourself.

You're in love with how they love you,
You're blind to how amazing
How wonderful a creature you are
But you surrender only to what they say you are—
Baby, love yourself.

You're happy and you can't help it,
You're sad and you don't know why
You feel like the best thing in the world,
Then you mess up again big time—
Baby love yourself.

Unconditionally and unashamedly,
Shower no apologies unreservedly,
Show the world how much you care,
But really you don't even have to care
That Baby, you love yourself.

When you feel rejected
When no one has your back
When you feel unlovable
Or consider yourself despicable—
Baby, love yourself.

When the nights get dark and you see nobody
When the days grow cold and you need somebody
When the road gets tough and you feel so lonely
When it's hard and the tears flow more freely—
Baby, love yourself.

Baby, love yourself
Baby, love yourself
Baby, love yourself
Baby, love yourself
Baby, love yourself...

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO NOT KNOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE

Hello, and welcome to Haven Incorporated. This is the very first post minted in our press, and hopefully the continuation of something great. We hope you find value in this space and find it a place to stay. It's indeed a terrible thing to not know how great one is. Usually, we hear warnings to desist from pride and cease from arrogance, that pride goes before an unpleasant fall and humility comes before honour. But having a healthy sense of self and worth is not as emphasised. And I dare say, it's better to be proud than falsely humble! Just tonight, I saw a man who didn't know how great he was, and it pierced my heart to see him so. Maybe he knew, but only humbled himself for the moment, but I didn't think it necessary for him to have done so. But it's terrible to not know how great you are! It occurred to me that culture and tradition, perhaps, makes us stagnant and backwards in the face of progress. It is true that we learn great virtue and core valu...

THE LITTLE FAN

Blood on my hands, but it's only mine, Scratching the tissue while the blood flows out: The scars disappear before morning comes, No, for my sake, you won't catch me mourning storms! Job done, tissue discarded, What was the issue we all regarded? Won't catch me acting all retarded; Break up the group, you're all disbanded. I hope you aren't acting clever? Before you wound yourself forever. All that I am, I gave my blood, I went through a really difficult curve, So don't play me for the fool I'm not, Before you wound yourself for nought. Pain is my only companion, Sleep is a distant friend; Don't know what to do, Just want it to end. Moving out like tidal wave, Just want it to end. Asking myself the question, Who did I offend? For this pain, I can't compare. Sometimes I ask myself, why I'm the way I am, Then someone does something, And I remember why I chose to be this way 'Times I'm quickly angry I don't like being offended Especially...
