THE NAME OF JESUS

Jesus, a Name to call
Delivering us before we fall
I felt the evil hands crushing me
Blocking my escape, choking me
To take me with violence against my will

But the name of Jesus did I call
Right at the end I didn't fall
I felt God's power pierce the clouds
The saving grace of God's plan
The name of Jesus did I call

The name of Jesus did I call
I felt the enemy lose his hold
Indeed God's power made me bold
The name of Jesus did I call
The name of Jesus did I call

Amen

Sometimes in life, we go through certain situations we can't fight through, but at the end of the day, God comes through. When pressed down by enemy hands, the name of Jesus does save. Not by how loud we call, but simply because we believe, and so we see the trouble melt away. Why? Because of the special grace of the Name of Jesus. I'm a testimony, I'm a living witness, just this midnight..

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO NOT KNOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE

Hello, and welcome to Haven Incorporated. This is the very first post minted in our press, and hopefully the continuation of something great. We hope you find value in this space and find it a place to stay. It's indeed a terrible thing to not know how great one is. Usually, we hear warnings to desist from pride and cease from arrogance, that pride goes before an unpleasant fall and humility comes before honour. But having a healthy sense of self and worth is not as emphasised. And I dare say, it's better to be proud than falsely humble! Just tonight, I saw a man who didn't know how great he was, and it pierced my heart to see him so. Maybe he knew, but only humbled himself for the moment, but I didn't think it necessary for him to have done so. But it's terrible to not know how great you are! It occurred to me that culture and tradition, perhaps, makes us stagnant and backwards in the face of progress. It is true that we learn great virtue and core valu...

GIVE ROOM FOR GOD TO FAIL YOU

Reading the heading, it sure sounds counterproductive, an impossible paradox to accept. Why? Why consider God's failure in the equation? It is not in his nature, he doesn't, God doesn't fail. What God cannot do does not exist. True! Yet let us consider the fact that God may actually "fail us." You might have guessed already where this post is already going. If that is the case, I congratulate you. If you haven't, let us walk through it together to the end. There are stories abound of devout people who left the fold, who left the worship of God because he didn't answer their prayers. People who didn't understand the reason why God would let bad things happen to good people or people who couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that God didn't grant their request despite their diligent work in his service, and for this reason they are offended and may fall out of the faith. We will provide two simple examples to back up t...
