THIS IS ME

This is me, all of me,

No hidden measures.

I like to hide

Deep down like hidden treasures

Sometimes I sing

And sound

like broken records

But this is me

All of me, no hidden measures

And I really like to hide

Deep down like hidden treasures

I'll take

a step back

When things

Come to a head

And I'd rather not be

In a race to be ahead

I'd rather not be in

a place of comfort

And I don't pray

To ever be overconfident

Forgive me

if I talk up myself

I always zone out

Need a place to digress

Whether I'm too laid

Back or too relaxed

I always zone out

Need a place to digress

Leaving

the things that need doing

Always zone out

Need a place to digress

Treating myself like I'm in danger

Protecting myself

Like some spoilt brat:

Zone out—

Need space to digress

I'll do it, let me be

I won't do it, let me be

I may not do it, let me be

I may do it, let me be

This is me, all of me

I like to hide, deep down deep

Like hidden treasures

Sometimes I sing

And sound

Like broken records

But this is me, all of me

No hidden measures..

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO NOT KNOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE

Hello, and welcome to Haven Incorporated. This is the very first post minted in our press, and hopefully the continuation of something great. We hope you find value in this space and find it a place to stay. It's indeed a terrible thing to not know how great one is. Usually, we hear warnings to desist from pride and cease from arrogance, that pride goes before an unpleasant fall and humility comes before honour. But having a healthy sense of self and worth is not as emphasised. And I dare say, it's better to be proud than falsely humble! Just tonight, I saw a man who didn't know how great he was, and it pierced my heart to see him so. Maybe he knew, but only humbled himself for the moment, but I didn't think it necessary for him to have done so. But it's terrible to not know how great you are! It occurred to me that culture and tradition, perhaps, makes us stagnant and backwards in the face of progress. It is true that we learn great virtue and core valu...

THE STORY A PROFESSOR TOLD ME

A story my professor told me, A new way of life, it showed me; Those who are wise will hold this, For every man needs to know this. And so he said to me: A man came to him in need, Sir, I need your help to feed: My dear sir, please... But this wasn't the first, And surely won't be last, Professor thought to himself: We can't keep doing this. And, so, Professor said to him: I, as well, I am in need, You see, my car, I need to clean, And you, you need to feed, Can we consider it a deal? And the man thought it wise a thing. Indeed, it was wise a thing; To be paid as much as kings— Where do you find such a thing? Wise, if you know what that means! As the man washed Professor's car, Some also needed to clean theirs, So the man washed their cars, And also cleaned his scars, For a beggar's soul is scarred. Now, he doesn't need to beg; The wise will learn a lesson, In a story filled with lessons. A word is enough for the wise, Or for those who want to be wise.. ...
